Full Time Spanish Teacher

Oakcrest School, an independent liberal arts school for girls grades 6-12 in Vienna, VA, seeks an experienced, dynamic, full-time Spanish Teacher for the 2021-2022 academic year. Applicants must have a strong Spanish background and should be able to teach across the Spanish curriculum. Our Spanish curriculum follows a communicative approach. Qualified applicants will meet the following criteria:

Ability to teach a range of Spanish classes, at the middle and high school levels;
Ability to work collaboratively and in an interdisciplinary manner within the Foreign Language Department and with other departments;
Bachelor’s degree, previous teaching experience preferred
Commitment to excellent teaching and to continued professional development;
Excellent communication skills and an understanding of the developmental needs of adolescent girls;
Desire to contribute to school life in meaningful ways outside the classroom.
