The FLAVA Spring Conference is a smaller, more intimate gathering of world language educators—an event designed for meaningful connection, collaboration, and professional growth. In this personalized setting, participants can share ideas, exchange best practices, and dive deeply into the art and science of language teaching.
This spring, watch ideas, connections, and creativity come into full bloom at Virginia’s most inspiring professional event for language educators! Join us at Washington and Lee University for a one-day celebration of language education, where inspiration takes root and innovation blossoms.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Do you have a lesson, project, or approach that helps language learning flourish? Share your expertise and inspire fellow educators!
The Conference Committee invites proposals for active and engaging presentations on all topics language.
Call for Proposals is now open through January 11, 2026.
Please use the proposal submission form to be considered to present at the conference.
All presentations will be 1 hour. FLAVA will assign your presentation time and ask that you adhere to it.

Disability Accommodations
Any person with a disability who needs special accommodations to fully participate in the conference must notify the association no later than 60 days before the conference. This notification should include a written description of the accommodations needed and should be sent via the FLAVA contact form (linked below). Once on the form, please choose “Conference” as the topic. FLAVA will make every attempt to meet your needs within the limitations of the association’s resources.
