The Langley School, a Preschool-8 independent school in McLean, Virginia, seeks an interim Lower School Spanish teacher opening for the remainder of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Spanish teacher will teach upper elementary grades, including designing and delivering instruction that reflects our inquiry-based instructional model, providing targeted and timely feedback on student learning, and adapting instruction based on student progress. Langley uses Klett’s Alba y Gael and Reporters as a foundational text, and students learn language through authentic experiences that develop their global competencies and enhance language acquisition. The Spanish teacher will also participate in the life of the school and other duties as assigned by the Head of the Lower School.

Requirements:
Teaching Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Advanced degree preferred
- A minimum of three years prior experience teaching in a Lower School setting
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal fluency in both Spanish and English
