Description: The Secondary (Grades 7-12) World Languages Resource Teacher (219-day) serves as a member of the Curriculum & Instruction Office and the K-12 World Languages team. This individual supports the development and implementation of curriculum, performance assessments, and professional development that align with proficiency-centered instructional practices focused on communicative language development, student growth and efficacy, and intercultural competence in modern, classical, and visual languages.
Requirements: minimum of three years’ experience as a secondary world languages teacher; experience planning and facilitating professional learning; collecting and using data for instructional decision-making; and valid Virginia teaching license in Language PreK-12. Other essential skills include being detail-oriented with excellent oral, listening, and written communication, strong organization, and effective collaboration.
