Isle of Wight County Schools is seeking two Spanish I/World Language Exploratory teachers, one at Smithfield Middle School and one at Georgie Tyler Middle School. Candidates must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Virginia teaching license with a certification in Spanish. The successful candidate will teach two sections of Spanish I and one exploratory class introducing the culture and language for French and Latin.

 

Smithfield Middle School has over 600 students in grades seven and eight and is located near historical downtown Smithfield, VA. The school shares a campus with Smithfield High School providing excellent opportunities for world language teachers to coordinate programs between the two schools. Georgie Tyler Middle School serves students in 6^th – 8^th grade and is located in the southern end of Isle of Wight County in Windsor, VA. You will enjoy the small-town atmosphere yet the close proximity to the larger metropolitan areas of Tidewater, VA.
