LATIN TEACHER (PART-TIME AND FULL-TIME)
The Covenant School in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual with the ability to teach Latin at any level.
Two positions are available: a full-time position which will lead one course (two sections) in the middle school and two courses at the upper school level and a part-time position which will include one course (two sections) at the middle school level.
Candidates should possess a mature, Christian faith and an educational philosophy that is consistent with The Covenant School’s mission statement and Christian Liberal Arts & Sciences pedagogy. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Classics or a related field and are able to lead students in the study of the literature, art, architecture, history, mythology, and culture of the ancient world. Candidates must enjoy working with middle school-aged students and demonstrate the ability to inspire students’ love of learning and critical thinking, enthusiasm for professional growth and academic excellence, and an eagerness to share their Christian faith authentically in the context of their teaching.
