Position Description: The Upper School at North Cross seeks an experienced French teacher capable of teaching all levels of French, up to AP French Language and potentially serving as department chair, for the 2025-2026 school year. Our ideal candidate is student-centered and committed to making demanding subjects understandable and engaging for high school students while building their critical thinking, analytical, and creative skills. They are joyful problem-solvers, collegial and collaborative colleagues, and excellent communicators who are committed to continual professional growth. ● Partner with students: Build trusting relationships and understand their unique needs, learning styles, and goals.
● Creta classroom plans: Developing customized strategies that address individual challenges and accelerate academic progress.
● Guide students in mastering key study skills: effective time management, organization techniques, tracking progress.
● Collaborate in a positive manner to be a team player: thrives in a supportive and dynamic environment, with teachers, parents, and administration.
Who You Are:
● Strong subject knowledge in specific areas such as Foreign Languages and English.
● Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with teaching and/or tutoring experience, or be a master of their subject area.
● Ability to create engaging group/individual learning experiences.
● Patience and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
● A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
● Demonstrate strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Thrive in a collaborative and dynamic team setting.
● Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
● Be passionate about student development and well-being.
