20 Jan Japanese Professor at NOVA Honored by Blackboard

The award honors members of the educational community who design and develop exciting and innovative courses that represent the best in technology and learning.
JPN 101 (Beginning Japanese I), designed and developed by Shigehisa, was one of over 160 entries evaluated in a rigorous peer-review process by more than 300 faculty and instructional designers. Submissions were judged on the following components: course design, interaction, collaboration, assessment and learner support. JPN 101 also received a Director’s Choice Award for Courses with Distinction. Shigehisa was recognized during BbWorld, Blackboard’s annual user conference held in July in Las Vegas, Nevada.
