French Position – Emory & Henry College

The World Languages Department at Emory & Henry College invites applications for an adjunct position in Introductory French 2 to begin in January 2023. The available position is to teach one section of French 102 in Spring 2023.

The course schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 12:00-12:50 pm EST and Thursday 1:30-2:50 pm EST. Applicants must be available to teach synchronously at these times. While we would prefer to have this course taught face-to-face on our campus, we understand that most likely this course will have to be taught remotely and that is also acceptable.


  • Masters or PhD in French

  • Native or near-native fluency in French and English required

  • College teaching experience in traditional classrooms is desirable and with online teaching experience preferred

Remuneration: This four-credit hour course is paid at $1000/credit hour ($4,000 per course). The classes meet for three 50-minute sessions plus one 80-minute lab per week during the day.
