FLAVA President’s Message – September 2022
Greetings, FLAVA members!
September is finally here and I am so ready for all things fall – hayrides, fall festivals, bonfires, pumpkins, football, and of course FLAVA!!! For those of you who are already back in the classroom, I hope that you are enjoying your classes. There is so much excitement, joy, and positivity in my school this year among the teachers and students. I hope that each of you will experience this too. For those of you who will start classes after Labor Day, I hope that you will have a great first day with your students.
Early Bird Registration for FLAVA 2022 will close on September 15th!
All conference attendees who register by September 15, 2022 will receive breakfast on Friday, October 7, 2022 and lunch on Saturday, October 8, 2022. During the Saturday lunch, affiliate organizations will hold their annual meetings. You will not want to miss the Welcome Back Reception on Thursday, October 6, 2022, and the most epic FLAVA Karaoke and Talent Show with a bar on Friday, October 8, 2022. These events will be included in your conference registration.

Reserve your hotel room for FLAVA 2022 by September 15th. Go onto hotel website link Doubletree by Hilton Williamsburg Hotel and Conference Center. Select your arrival date and your departure date. Next, complete the number of rooms you will need and the number of guests for each room. Enter FLA under the group code under the special rates and select rates button. Flava group block will display and you can select the bed type and make a reservation by clicking quick book (blue bar). If you encounter any issues reserving your room, please contact the hotel directly at 757-220-2500.
