At Virtual Virginia, we’re working to keep you informed about ways we can help you prepare for unexpected challenges or school closings. As your partner, we are committed to providing as much support as possible as divisions plan for instruction through virtual learning.
Free Resources to Support Virtual Learning
For the remainder of the 2019–2020 academic year, Virtual Virginia will offer 81 online resources in all subject areas at no cost for your teachers and students to use in online delivery via the Virtual Virginia LMS. The resources contain fully developed lessons aligned to state and national standards, videos, interactive applications, and assignments. Teachers using the resources will have access to free training and ongoing support through a professional learning network of Virginia educators.

Free Teacher Training to Support Virtual Learning
Virtual Virginia is pleased to host a series of 3 webinars over the next few weeks for all Virginia public educators at no cost:
Foundations of Online Teaching Using Web Conferencing
Thursday, March 19 at 4 p.m. EST
Participants will learn how to create online classrooms, structure a live instructional session, and share best practices for synchronous instruction.
Supporting Instruction through Video Lessons
Thursday, March 26 at 4 p.m. EST
Participants will learn how to use free tools to record brief video lessons that can be shared with students.
Teaching Online with Virtual Virginia Digital Content
Thursday, April 2 at 4 p.m. EST
Participants will learn how to quickly get the most out of the Virtual Virginia Blended Resources (listed below), create assignments, monitor progress, and much more.
