FLAVA Conference 2013 – Go Global
We were glad to have seen so many of you at this year’s conference! Planning for the 2014 Conference is already well underway and session proposals are being accepted though April 18. Over 500 educators attended in 2013, and countless new friendships and connections were made. Some 30 exhibitors supported us.
Presenters’ documents and Power Points are already uploaded on this page (see link to the right) and photos and award information is coming soon. If you have more materials to share, please send them to email@example.com
We’re already working on the 2014 Conference. Please start thinking of colleagues to nominate for our annual awards. Session deadlines also come up early, so it’s not too early to start planning yours. Meantime, stay in touch with us by sending your news, announcements and articles. Post your ideas and queries on our Facebook page (search our full name — Foreign Language Association of Virginia) and Twitter #FLAVA2013.
Many thanks again to our wonderful Keynote Speaker: Terrell A. Morgan, Spanish and linguistics professor at The Ohio State University, an expert in the “real life” differences in language from country to country. Want to read more “Calebisms” and “Rubenisms”? Here is Dr. Morgan’s website: http://people.cohums.ohio-state.edu/morgan3/.
