30 Jan President’s Message 29 Jan 2019
I am thrilled to share some wonderful news and opportunities with you! I know that each of you is extremely busy. I will try to make this concise – but, please read this information!
You have already received a thank you note from Dick Kuettner and the Advocacy Committee. It was heartwarming to see the FLAVA membership work efficiently and earnestly to write letters/emails, post on social media, and attend the subcommittee meeting re: HB 2125. Although the vote was close, this bill which would have allowed Career and Technical Education courses to take the place of world language courses failed. Thanks to all of you for your incredible support and teamwork in this endeavor.

It was brought to my attention a week or so ago that some of new members were not receiving FLAVA emails and updates. I personally was horrified to learn that. Thanks to our Communications Coordinator, Heidi Trude, I believe this email glitch has been rectified. Please know that we value all of our members and want you to be well informed regarding FLAVA matters and language opportunities.
